– The Agrigento Agroecology Congress (with the involvement of the 23 countries of the Mediterranean basin) is linked to the particular situation that sees the Sicilian Region as the first region in Europe to have approved a law on agroecology (L.R. 21 of 2021) and Agrigento as the capital of Culture 2025;
– This Congress was promoted by the Sicilian Agroecology Coordination, which is the third sector body, whose working group, made up of researchers, professionals, regional managers, unions, etc. followed and coordinated the work that led to the approval of L.R. 21/2021.
– The Agrigento Agroecology Congress will be held from 9 to 12 June 2025, in collaboration with AIAF (Italian Agroforestry Association) and AIDA (Italian Agroecology Association). It will also be sponsored by Agroecology Europe.
