AEMED 2025

Abstract

The AEMED Committee invites authors to submit their proposals for articles and special sessions to be presented at the 1st Mediterranean Agroecology Congress "AGROECOLOGICAL AND AGROFORESTRY APPROACHES FOR A SUSTAINABLE FUTURE". The submission of proposals will close on March 2, 2025. Decisions will be communicated to the email address provided by the authors at the time of registration.

Guidelines for scientific abstract submission:

• Abstracts must be submitted in English (Times New Roman font, 12 points, with 1.5 line spacing).

• The maximum length of the abstract is 1000 words.

Abstracts should be formatted according to the following headings (or similar):

• Title of the paper.

• Conference theme for which the proposal is intended.

• Authors (names, affiliation, and contact information).

• Keywords (max 6).

• Context description; conceptual framework.

• Purpose; research questions.

• Design; methodology; approach.

• Data collection and analysis; evidence.

Guidelines for experiential abstract submission:

• Abstracts must be submitted in English (Times New Roman font, 12 points, with 1.5 line spacing).

• The maximum length of the abstract is 1000 words.

Abstracts should be formatted according to the following headings (or similar):

• Title of the paper.

• Conference theme for which the proposal is intended.

• Involved farmer(s) (names, affiliation and contact information, location of the farm).

• Keywords (max 6) to describe the experience (e.g., "agroforestry", "drought", "biological control", etc.).

• Context description; conceptual framework.

• Brief description of the farm situation, environmental, climatic and productive context.

• Objectives the farmer intends to achieve or problems they aim to solve with the practice.

• Experience, practices and strategies adopted (e.g., soil management, use of local varieties, reduction of chemical products, etc.).

• Difficulties encountered and solutions adopted.

• Results and lessons learned.

• Proposals for the future and possible collaborations.

 

Guidelines for the presentation of Scientific Posters:

Format

• Poster Title (Brief and Concise, max 15 words, in Bold and Large Font).
• First Name Last Name¹, First Name Last Name², First Name Last Name³.
• Email of the first author.

Introduction

• Brief description of the context and importance of the research.
• Main objectives of the study.

Materials and Methods

• Brief description of the methodology used.
• Specifications on the study areas, crops, agroecological treatments, etc.

Results and Discussion

• Presentation of the main results (graphs, tables, images).
• Interpretation and implications for Mediterranean agroecology.

Conclusions

• Summary of the most relevant results.
• Implications for future research and agricultural practices.

Bibliographic References

• Author, Year. Title. Journal/Book. DOI/link (if available).

Acknowledgements (if needed)

• Any funding, collaborations, supporting organizations.

Logos (at the top or bottom, depending on the preferred layout)

• University/Institute Logo.
• Conference Logo.

Design Guidelines

• Recommended dimensions: 70 x 100 cm.
• Readable font: Large titles (Arial or Helvetica, 60-80 pt), Normal text (28-36 pt).
• Consistent colors: Nature-related palette (green, brown, blue), light background.
• Visual elements: Charts, high-resolution images, infographics to enhance readability.
