Tetro Pirandello
The Luigi Pirandello Theatre in Agrigento is an elegant historic theatre built in 1870 by engineer Dionisio Sciascia and architect Giovan Battista Filippo Basile, originally named Teatro Regina Margherita. Located in the heart of the city, near the Church of San Domenico, it has been dedicated to the famous playwright Luigi Pirandello since 1946. The theatre features a neoclassical structure with richly frescoed interior decorations and excellent acoustics, making it an important cultural center for theatrical and musical performances.
